Jumping!

Isaac is finally to the point where he can sit up enough to be in his jumper. I put a little padding in there just to give him a little help, but he does a good job on his own. It took him a few times, but he's finally getting the hang of it.

Lift Off

Brandon was cleaning out some boxes and found his old joystick. So of course he got it out to play with it. Isaac apparently enjoys it as well.

He's already a pro... one hand on the throttle and the other on the trigger!

Tummy Time

Tummy time continues to be his not so favorite time of the day- but he's getting better and better at it. He is at the point that he can roll over. You just have to get him in the right position... and sometimes give him a little push the first time. Then he remembers that he can do it!

My Lazy Boys

This was Saturday morning... Brandon's one day to sleep in, so I let the two of them sleep and I went to make breakfast.

Who Me?

Our little man is growing like crazy. He's even helping with the laundry. (Yeah right) But he does love to watch and pretend like he's doing something.
















My visiting teacher Jen gave him this little frog and he absolutely loves it. Today in church he saw it sitting in his car seat and he leaned over (more like tipped over) to grab it.









Whenever we get out the camera, he stops and just looks at us. Such as in the picture...

Happy Thanksgiving

Well, we enjoyed our first Thanksgiving on our own. We had my old roommate Melissa and her husband Ammon over, and we had a grand old time. It was a good thing Melissa came over, there is no way the dinner would have gotten finished if it weren't for her. But in the end everything turned out well. The turkey didn't get burned and it all worked out.

Brandon was our master carver. And I must say, he did a fine job, especially for it being his first time!

And of course, the after dinner mess...

And this was the remains of our turkey. (After I demeated all the bones!) As Brandon would say, the turkey did not die in vain.

Going for a Walk

We got up and ready this morning all ready to go somewhere and then I realized Brandon had taken the car to work. So I thought 'Oh well, we'll just go for a walk." Except the stroller is in the trunk of the car. It's a good thing we have a Snugli. So out we went (just aroung the block, cause it was really cold). It was his first time facing forward in it, and he loved it. There was just soo much to see. The only problem he had was when we were facing the sun. He wasn't a big fan of that!

BRRR, It's Cold

Isaac and I go for walks everyother day with a neighbor and her baby. This means that we have to bundle up cause it's getting cold outside. We started out with a light jacket and a hat. We have now had to move on to a heavy sweatshirt, a hat and multiple blankets.

But, we wouldn't miss our walks for anything. Isaac absolutely loves them. He loves to watch the world from his little carseat!

My Highchair

Thanks to Grandma Brown's boss, Wilma, Isaac has a high chair of his very own. (A posh one at that.) We finally got it out and set it up. Once we did we kinda regretted not doing it sooner. It's made for newborns on up. It reclines almost all the way, and of course it has straps to buckle them in. He loves it! It has a toy you can attach to the tray, and we haven't even put batteries in it yet but he's already fascinated with it.

Even without the toy, he still loves just being at our level and feeling like a big boy.

Halloween

Who'd have thought if Pippy Longstocking got together with a Muskateer, they'd have a pea pod! Well, okay, maybe not really. But it sure was fun to pretend for Halloween. This was for our ward Turnk or Treat. Brandon won a prize for the 'Best Grown-up Costume" We got a certificate and a package of halloween pens. It was exciting.
Isaac didn't really mind his costume. For most of the night we just kept his hood off. He just sat and enjoyed chewing on the zipper and the pea. We eventually took off the top pea cause he was disolving the glue that held it together.

















But as you can see, overall he had a grand ol' time!

Yeah for Yardwork!

We have tons of trees in our yard, including two really big ones. So come fall we get a ton of leaves. So the last couple of Saturdays have been sent outside doing yardwork. We raked and we pruned and we mowed. It was good fun.

Of course Isaac enjoyed it as well. Sort of... When he was asleep he was fine. But if he was awake, I had to be in view, otherwise he wasn't a happy camper. But as long as he could see me, he was okay. For at least 20 min!

But it was very fullfilling, literally. We got at least 7 bags of leaves from the first Saturday alone. To bad there's no one interested in buying bags of leaves. We'd be rich!

Finally!

The first time we tried giving Isaac a bottle, he took it no problem. And then we weren't very consistent with it, so when we tried again later, he wouldn't have anything to do with it. We have finally figured out the secret. The milk has to be just warm enough. If it's too cold, he won't have it.
So we have to make sure we heat it up enough, which is easier said then done. Sometimes it takes a long time for that little bottle to heat up, especially if it's full. And of course you can't microwave breast milk, so you get to sit and wait for it in it's little tub of hot water!

Helping Dad

Isaac is so helpful...

He's always willing to help out with whatever it is you're doing. As long as your willing to hold him, he's game.

It's hard work studying for physics tests!

But he's a good sport about it!
