Spring is here!

Much to every one's relief here in Utah, the snow melted quickly. And it has been beautiful these last few days. Isaac and I have been outside almost everyday. He is forever wanting to be outside, which is typically fine with me. We've gotten lots of yard work done while being outside. I don't have any pictures of him being outside because I'm too busy weeding to take any! But we'll get some soon, I promise. Isaac's favorite thing to do is dig in the dirt. Our neighbor's have a glorious dirt bed in their front yard, and he is in heaven when we go over there! I'll have to get a picture of him at work. He will honestly dig for hours on end.
His new favorite thing to do inside however is sing. He likes to get the Children's songbook out and have us sing to him. His favorite song... Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree. We sing it multiple times. Here's a video of him doing the motions. It's not his best, but it gives you an idea! Don't mind my off tune singing...

And here's a video of him saying and eating a waffle, just for your enjoyment.

Just wrong...

This is just wrong. It is the middle of April and it was over 60 degrees two days ago. We woke up this morning and there is probably around 5" of snow everywhere. It even broke a branch on our neighbor's tree. Well, come what may and love it right?

What Up?

I have some time, and so I figured I would share some more cute pictures of Isaac.

Since his old hat doesn't fit him anymore, this is the one he usually wears when we go outside. Of course, not quite like this, but you get the idea...

He does still like to wear whatever hat he can get his hands on, regardless of how hot the hat is.

He loves to sit on the washer when it is in the spin cycle. It tickles his little bum, and he thinks it's hilarious. And he likes to push buttons on the toaster oven on top of the microwave.

He loves to give monkey rides around the living room.

For all you sensitive folks, I'm sorry, I guess I should have warned you... but he is just too cute. And so skinny. I promise this kid eats tons. He is just a skinny little boy!

Comments

Just so everyone knows, we have finally made it so you can comment on our posts. I know, I know, you were all dying to comment... It took me a while to figure out how to get it to work. There was so random check box that needed to be checked in some random place. It was actually Brandon who figured it out, surprise, surprise. It's a good thing my husband is so smart.
Anyway, feel free to comment or not. :)

What we did with our Tax Return

Well, we got a lot of money back from taxes, so what do we decide to do with some of it? Go and buy a Wii. We bought a Wii, and a Wii Fit and have actually really enjoyed it. I use the Wii Fit all the time, and it is very invigorating. And we are getting very good at Tennis and Baseball! Isaac loves to watch bowling for some reason. But all in all, it was a good investment, and we're glad we did it!

Isaac usually only gets to play with the nunchuck, it's a lot less expensive!

This was the mess as we were getting it all out and set up.

Our little Goofball

Isaac is growing up so fast, and he is developing such a distinct personality. He makes us laugh everyday, and we love it! Here are a few examples:
He loves to put our shoes on and walk around the house. Needless to say, he is becoming quite adept at it!
He saw dad putting on a belt one day, and decided he wanted to wear one too, so Brandon put one of his one Isaac. This was how it turned out... You can't tell, but the belt is wrapped around Isaac twice. Isaac didn't mind one bit though. He wore the belt the whole day!
And Isaac still loves balls, what little boy doesn't? He has learned to pick up both big ones at once and carry them around. It is quite a production though to get them to this point!

Fridays are glorious!

I have to say, I love Fridays. Especially the Friday after my last day of clinical for the semester. I get about a 2 week break before I have to start clinicals for Spring term, but a break is a break. I just finished with my ICU rotation, and it was a really interesting experience. I worked lots of great nurses and patients. I learned so much about life this semster. One of the days a patient coded while we were there, (meaning he stoped breathing/heart beating) and I was in the room doing CPR. (My instructor was also there, and I think she was a little surprised how well I can do compressions. But, after so many years, 10, of being certified, you get good at it.) The patient didn't end up making it through the code, and it really made me think about life. Also, this last patient I had yesterday was not doing well, and the doctors were struggling to figure out what was wrong. This life really is so fragile, and it can all change in an instant, but one thing I know more than anything is that our Heavenly Father is over all, and that nothing He does is a mistake. If we live how we know we're supposed to and we do all we can for ourselves, the Lord will take care of the rest. I know that He loves us and that we really can put our full trust in Him. Things may not turn out the way we had planned, but that's okay. Whether we lose a loved one, or something happens to us, things will work out. I am grateful for the gospel in my life, and for the knowledge that I have. Perspective is one thing I think every person should work to gain. With the proper perspective, nothing seems too hard.

I promise we're still alive!

School is almost finished for the semester, and once it does we will all be so happy! (Isaac included) Of course both Brandon and I have spring classes, but at least they will be new classes. I promise to put up some pictures soon, and a good long update. But it will have to wait until we (okay I) have more time.
