Old Friends
They weren't too chumy at first, but they eventaully warmed up. Although I don't know how excited their little boy is about the hug here! Isaac sure enjoyed having him over.

Halloween
Since I forgot the camera that night, all I have are pictures of him during the day. But he's the most important anyway, nobody really cares about pictures of Brandon and I!
You can't tell from these picturse but Isaac really loved his costume. Everytime we put it on he got so excited and he would love to waddle around. (and waddle he did, it wasn't too condusive to walking very well) He would wave at people with his little flipper hands. It was really cute.

Corn Mazes and Hayrides
They had music playing on the loud speakers, and Isaac was loving that as well. He was dancing up a storm.
TV's

This picture was when Brandon tried to fix our old TV. He got it to work kinda, but then other things stopped working as well. Eventually nothing worked, no buttons, the remote. It wasn't worth it to try and get it all to work. Plus, no one around here sells the parts for Memorex, you have to go through the company, and they were a huge pain in the rear! We called them so many times, just to see what they would do about it. Eventually they told us they would charge $60 to look at it, plus any parts, plus S&H, which is bucko bucks for a TV. So we gave it to some guy for free who wanted to try and fix it himself, though I don't know how much luck he'll have. Whatever.
This is our old TV....
And this is Brandon plugging in our new TV!
And the rest of the pictures are our little helper. He was in heaven with the screwdriver working on the old TV case. He was hilarious to watch, so serious and working so hard, just like Dad!

Isaac's adventures

Updates
He is in his third year of the IT program here at BYU, and is loving his classes this semester. Partially because they are easy, and partially because he is learning some 'cool things' according to him. He is always excited to come home and tell me all about what he is doing in school and in work. I just feel bad I don't really understand it all, but I can smile and nod! He has about 2 years left in his undergrad, if things work out. He is only taking part time credits while I finish school so he can be home with Isaac some of the time. (And Isaac loves it when Dad is home all day!) But hopefully things will work out so he can finish in a relatively decent time.
I am in my third semester of the nursing program, with only 2 more after this. I feel like I have been in school forever! This is technically my senior year, but because of the way things worked out, I'm still here plugging away. But I guess it's all worked out for the best. This semester I am in pediatrics and labor and delivery, which is really fun for me. I want to go into pediatrics, and I wouldn't mind labor and delivery either, so it's a good semester! But I can not wait until I'm done!
Isaac is still doing great. He is walking everywhere, just exploring the world. He is a little shy of strangers, actually very shy. He cried for a full hour and a half at a friends house who was watching him while we were at school. But otherwise he is a happy kid who loves to laugh. He is getting really good about saying please and thank you when we ask him to. And sometimes he does it on his own. Mostly when he wants something, he'll say please. It is so cute, just too bad we don't always know what it is he wants. He's learning though and getting so much more interactive.
Anyway, that is what we are up to. Life is crazy but good. The Lord blesses us so much, and we are so grateful for it.

On the Go...
Isaac is officially walking everywhere! And most of the time (at least at home), he has his stuffed monkey in tow, looking something like this...
One of his favorite past times presently is keys and locks. Our file cabinet has a lock on it, and we randomly have a little key, so Isaac loves to stand there and try and get the key into the lock. He will seriously stand there for 5 min trying it. It's really fun to watch.
And of course, I have to mention scooters and motorcycles. This kid is in love with them. If he hears one going by, he will stop whatever and try and find it. When he does see one, he gets sooo excited, pointing and shouting 'that, that!' Dad's scooter is his favorite, and he loves to sit on it and try pushing buttons. He especially likes it when dad turns it on and lets him honk the horn. I am definitely seeing some type of bike in this kids future. It's a good thing he has good examples to help teach him!
He wishes he could go for a ride!
New Additions
And this is what it now looks like, about 10 in shorter! Brandon and his friend Nate spent all day Sat working on this and our bookshelf. It doesn't look too bad if I do say so myself!Thursday, September 11, 2008

My first Haircut!
This was Isaac before the haircut, he was helping me comb through his hair to get all the tangles out!

These are the aftershots. Isaac next to his pile of hair on the floor, and the finished product sitting happily on Dad's lap.

The video isn't super great, I didn't realize my arm was in the way, but it's the best we got!
