What am I going to do with this Child!

Isaac has decided that he is absolutely determined to get to any place he wants. And he seems to haave very little fear. That, or he doesn't have a concept of danger, (probably a little of both). His latest adventure is climbing the gate that we put up so he can't get into the kitchen. He started with climbing onto his car to get higher, but he has since decided he doesn't need his car. I haven't gotten a picture of it yet, but he will put his feet in the little holes in the gate and climb up that way. This kid is going to fall and break his neck!

The Fair

Okay, so it wasn't a real fair. BYU had an end of term campus 'fair' and it was actually quite fun. We only did a few things, but it was all free, so we can't complain.
This is us getting to the fair with our newish bike trailer.
They had a football toss and a basketball hoop thing. We enjoyed just watching others participate in those ones. There was a special needs group there, and they were having a ball with the football toss. It was really fun to watch them. The picture is of the football toss. You tried to get it into the outstretched arms of the 'receiver'!

Our favorite part was the petting zoo. I don't know that I would really call it a 'zoo', it was more of a display of a few reptiles and such. But Isaac really enjoyed petting the hedgehog and the snake. He kept trying to get back to the hedgehog after we were done petting. He kept sticking his hand out towards it. It was cute to watch him.

One of the special needs girls asked if she could hold the snake, and she was told she could hold part of it. So she got to hold the tail. She was thrilled.
The fair also had some water activities which we enjoyed watching rather than doing. It was a big slide down the hill. (above right)
They also had a few other random activities that we passed over. Right before we left we sat and waited for some music, but the band took forever to play, so we eventually left.
All in all it was a fun night out. Isaac had his first taste of cotton candy, which he enjoyed, and he got to pet some animals/reptiles!

Awww.....

So I just couldn't resist putting up these cute pictures. It's so obvious how much Isaac likes his dad and his Uncle Cameron.

Time to rearrange!

So we decided, for one thing, Cameron needs a little more space in his room, and also once Isaac goes back into the room, the desk needs to be out of the way so as to give him free reign in his own room. So we pulled the desk out into the living room and had to some major adjustments to the furniture. Brandon also had to do some creative rewiring so we could get the computer hooked up to the Internet. And he will have some creative cabling to do when he finally has time. As of now, we have a cable that runs under a rug across the hall so we have TV. Luckily it's not super tacky looking. But here are some finished product shots. Minus the scattered toys. Those are always on the floor until Isaac goes to bed. Then the house looks remotely clean!

And of course, here are some shots of the move in progress. Brandon and Cameron probably won't appreciate this, but I'm sure everyone else will!

Isaac's adventures

So, Isaac has decided that he is of the adventurous sort, and he loves to climb and get into things. These are just a few of his many escapades...

This last one was a little frightening. If dad hadn't been holding the chair behind the scenes, Isaac would have eaten carpet!

Isaac's sleeping positions

Isaac has learned how to stand up in his crib, and thus he is less willing to fall alseep. Evnetually he gets tired enough and sits down, and then he finally just kind of flops over and falls alseep. These are just some of the various positions we've found him in. It doesn't look at all comfortable, but he sleeps really well...
