I promise we're still alive!

School is almost finished for the semester, and once it does we will all be so happy! (Isaac included) Of course both Brandon and I have spring classes, but at least they will be new classes. I promise to put up some pictures soon, and a good long update. But it will have to wait until we (okay I) have more time.

Cheese!

Here are just some random cute pictures of Isaac.
He's starting early on his studying. He should be light years ahead of the other kids with all the college experiece he's got under his belt.
Isaac likes to give his monkey a ride around the house. Sometimes his little sheep even gets in on the action.
This is him saying cheese. That is what he almost automatically does when he sees the camera.

This is how I found him during one of his naps. Somehow one of his slippers ended up on his hands! It was pretty cute.
This is one of his drinking spots. It's perfect to just sit and there's even a back rest.

Showing off one of his new sweatshirts. Of course he's not wearing it properly, but oh well.

My new Sunday studs

Isaac has long since outgrown his original Sunday attire from Grandma and Grandpa Garner, and so we decided it was time to get him so new stuff, so he at least looked decent for church. So here you go, pictures of my two studs!

(The second one he wanted to come and look at the picture, so of course he didn't sit still!)

Our Little Helper

Isaac loves to help with just about any chore, especially dishes. And lately he has gotten into putting the silverware away, or just rearranging it in general. This was one finished product that he masterfully created!
See how lovely it all fits in there!?
And of course, helping us feed the fish.
Isaac was helping Dad 'fix' his train. Dad was really fixing it, but Isaac was just playing with the screw driver. It was pretty dang cute though!

TV

Isaac has decided that he likes to watch TV. Mostly he likes to watch 'Curious George", and this DVD Brandon's parents got him for Christmas. It's a sing-along type of thing. But he would sit and watch them for hours if we let him. He'll get the remote and walk up to us saying, "TV, monkey!" He is so cute when he does.
Usually he has a drink, or some type of snack to eat while he watches. His latest craze in the snack department are pretzels. He would eat nothing but pretzels if I let him. Carzy kid.
And of course, his toy Buddy gets to watch with him sometimes!
This picture just cracks me up. I came out of the kitchen and found him laying on the ground like this watching TV. He just kind of looked at me and then turned back to the TV. It was so funny!

We have a new Fish

Finally! We actually had another one in between, but he died after a week. So this is our new fish, and he is doing quite well actually. Isaac loves to help us feed him. Actually, he just likes to watch the fish eat. We named him Pokey, and he is a very pretty fish. There were slim pickings when we went to get a new one, but we were lucky to find him. And he is very feisty, if you put your face down by the tank he gets all rilled up.
You can kind of tell in this picture. Now we just have to remember to feed him and find time to clean out his tank! Not really, I promise we're not abusing this poor fish. We do feed him and keep his tank clean!
It's a lot of fun to have an animal, even if it's just a fish. It helps make our house feel a little more like a real home, instead of just a temporary abode!

A New Year

Just a quick update for all... Brandon and I are both still in school, and it's a little hectic this semester. Our schedules don't work out quite as nicely as last semester, but we are very lucky to have great friends who are willing to watch Isaac. He goes to a few different houses this semester, and a few people even are willing to come here. He has gotten a lot better with people. I think he has learned that we will come back and get him. He was supposed to go to nursery this week for the first time, but he woke up sick. So needless to say, he did not go to church. Poor Brandon has to stay home with him all the time cause I always have something in Primary to do. This month I have sharing time, so I can't really miss church. But we're hoping for next week. I think he'll have fun in nursery. As long as there are toys and or books there, he'll have a blast. He is starting to grow up so fast. He will try and repeat anything you say to him, which is good and bad. You really have to watch what you say around him. He's at the point where he understands what you say to him. He may pretend like he doesn't hear/understand you, but he definitely does. It's so funny to watch him sometimes.
In other news Brandon still loves his job. His whole job was just reorganized so that he works with some different people now, but he still does all the same stuff. Now he just has more to do. It gets a little stressful at times for him, but luckily he is really good at leaving that all at work. He comes home and rants for a few min. and then he's fine. We feel very blessed Brandon has this job though. It is so flexible, he makes his own hours depending on our schedules, and they think he's the greatest. (Which he is) But we wouldn't be able to get through school if he had any other job.
I am almost done with school. I graduate in Dec 09. Right now I'm in my ICU, psych rotations. It's pretty intense, but it's a great learning experience. I do have to say, I'll be glad when I'm done.
All in all we're doing really well, and we look forward to this new year. I'm sure it will hold exciting opportunities for us.
