Isaac's many faces

So, Isaac is realizing that he has control over his facial muscles, and he loves to make the funniest faces. So far, these are the one's we've caught on camera. It's difficult because as soon as we get out the camera, he's done making faces. But this is what we've got...

This was after coming home from school one night, it was a cold night, so we were all bundled up.

And getting dressed in the morning, and of course playing in the Cheerios box before we threw it away,

And finally, the meal time face. I think he's the funniest at meal times, especially with all the different tastes.

Shhh....

Isaac has become quite a good sleeper. At night he sleeps for about 10 hours, even when it can get a little noisy in the early evening. And during the day he ususally does good with his naps. The only trouble we really run into is on Sunday when we're at church during his nap time. He doesn't like to go to sleep when there is so much to see and do.

So this last Sunday he stayed up all through church, and was so tired by the end. He would lay his head on Brandon's shoulder and just stare at whatever. After about 1 minute in the car he was out like a light. This is him once we got home. He went straight from his careseat to his crib. He didn't even make much of a fuss in the transfer. He was soo tired.

Old Car... New Car

Well, we had to say goodbye to our trusty old Toyota. It was a sad day...

It felt like a little piece of us was gone...

But, we replaced it with a new Hyundai Elantra (well new to us, it's a 99). It's a stick shift, and it's a fun little car. And it's a little more high tech then our last one. Power everything, plus cruise control which is a plus.

So we close an old chapter in the life of our vehicles, and open a new one!

Best Friends

So, my former roommate Bethany just had her first little boy, Andrew. We decided that our 2 little boys are going to be best friends. We're going to start them early. That's what our parents did with us, so we figure we'd pass on the tradition.
Here are the two proud fathers, Brandon and Matt. Bethany and I decided both sets of father and son look a lot a like! Aren't they so cute?
Isaac's checking out his new best friend! Right now he towers over him, but give it a few months and they'll probably be even!

Let It Snow!

One of the first times it really snowed hard this winter, we bundled Isaac up and headed outside to let him see what it was like. Quite honestly, he didn't really know what to think. I think he was just more in shock than anything else. He did enjoy chewing on the edge of his snow suit though, it must have been tasty.
