Oregon

Isaac and I got to go home to Oregon for the weekend to be there for the blessing of Wayne and Shauna's new boy, Logan. We had so much fun spending time with family. Isaac really missed his dad, and he was a little shy of anyone else, especially when mom wasn't around. But in the end he was warming up to everyone. He gave everyone kisses at least once! That's progress, right?!

For the most parts the kids were able to share without any problems. And Grandma Brown had enough forsight to get 2 little cars toys. Jackson is pushing Isaac around on the car. It's so much more fun to play together!
One of the days we went to a park and the kids loved it. The little baby is Logan. He was just calm and quite while the other kids ran around. He is such a cute little boy!

Both my family and Brandon's family had dinner together Thursday night. It was fun to all get together. And this was the longest Isaac let anyone hold him. Of course, I was still right there where Isaac could see me.

Happy Father's Day

This is a little late, but we were a little busy with finishing school and such. We had a nice relaxing Father's Day at home. We had Brandon's uncle over for dinner, and we had a nice dinner of ribs and mashed potatos.

I just wanted to let Brandon and the world know how much we love him, and why. Isaac gets so happy every time Brandon comes home from work. He cries in the morning when Brandon has to leave for work! Brandon is the only one who can get Isaac to laugh his head off, and bath time is 10 times more fun with Dad! As if that wasn't enough proof, Brandon has never once complained about changing poopy diapers, getting up 5 times a night to get a crying baby, give a squirmy boy a bath, or to clean up a housefull of toys.
Brandon is the best Dad Isaac could ask for (if he could ask!). I love Brandon and am so grateful for him!

Poor Uncle Cameron

Cameron has been so busy with his homewoek and with work, but Isaac loves to go in a play with his uncle. So poor Cameron doesn't get nearly as much homework done as he probably could because Isaac is quite a good distraction. At least Cameron doesn't seem to mind. He never complains! And I think he secretly likes the breaks! ;)

Sunday Best

We finally got Isaac a white button up shirt, so on it went for Sunday.
And of course, his tie...
He was so cute all dressed up. Although the tie didn't last too long at church!

What am I going to do with this Child!

Isaac has decided that he is absolutely determined to get to any place he wants. And he seems to haave very little fear. That, or he doesn't have a concept of danger, (probably a little of both). His latest adventure is climbing the gate that we put up so he can't get into the kitchen. He started with climbing onto his car to get higher, but he has since decided he doesn't need his car. I haven't gotten a picture of it yet, but he will put his feet in the little holes in the gate and climb up that way. This kid is going to fall and break his neck!

The Fair

Okay, so it wasn't a real fair. BYU had an end of term campus 'fair' and it was actually quite fun. We only did a few things, but it was all free, so we can't complain.

They had a football toss and a basketball hoop thing. We enjoyed just watching others participate in those ones. There was a special needs group there, and they were having a ball with the football toss. It was really fun to watch them. The picture is of the football toss. You tried to get it into the outstretched arms of the 'receiver'!

Our favorite part was the petting zoo. I don't know that I would really call it a 'zoo', it was more of a display of a few reptiles and such. But Isaac really enjoyed petting the hedgehog and the snake. He kept trying to get back to the hedgehog after we were done petting. He kept sticking his hand out towards it. It was cute to watch him.

One of the special needs girls asked if she could hold the snake, and she was told she could hold part of it. So she got to hold the tail. She was thrilled.

The fair also had some water activities which we enjoyed watching rather than doing. It was a big slide down the hill. (above right)

They also had a few other random activities that we passed over. Right before we left we sat and waited for some music, but the band took forever to play, so we eventually left.

All in all it was a fun night out. Isaac had his first taste of cotton candy, which he enjoyed, and he got to pet some animals/reptiles!
